Attorney
Emily Carico is a passionate family law attorney originally from Galax, Virginia nestled in the Appalachian Mountains.
Emily embarked on her academic journey at Radford University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in English. Continuing her pursuit of legal excellence, she obtained her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law.
With a solid foundation in place, Emily ventured into private practice before dedicating nearly six years to serving the community at Legal Aid of North Carolina. There, she honed her skills and developed a deep commitment to advocating for her clients.
What drives Emily's passion for family law? It's the opportunity to educate her clients, debunking myths and guiding them through the complexities of their cases with clarity and compassion.
Now, Emily brings her wealth of experience and enthusiasm to Camino Law, eager to immerse herself once again in the full spectrum of family law cases and to cultivate lasting relationships with her clients. She is also President of Court Support for Families (formerly Courtwatch of NC).
Beyond the courtroom, you'll find Emily surrounded by her lush office jungle, boasting over 20 thriving plants. Among them, her prized possession is a 13-year-old snake plant, lovingly propagated by her husband during their courtship. Together with her husband and their two feline companions, Pickles and Olive, Emily enjoys cooking, indulging in documentary films, and cheering on the Carolina Hurricanes as loyal season ticket holders.
